Duc Son Pagoda

On behalf of the Buddhist nuns of the Orphanage Home with 200 orphans, we would like to wish you good health and prosperity.

Duc Son orphanage located on the Cu Chanh hamlet, Thuy Bang village; district Thua Thien-Hue (about 7km outside of Hue City). This center was established by Buddhist nuns with goals to give orphans a home as well as educate these less unfortunate children with professions. Duc Son orphanage home was found in 1987, with only couples of children. The numbers of orphans gradually increase yearly due to war, floods, and diseases. Today, Duc Son Orphanage Home has up to 200 orphans. The youngest one is only 3 months old and the oldest one is in college. Every orphan has the opportunity to attend to school.

The numbers of orphans are growing everyday. This is one of the main concerns of the Duc Son Orphanage Home Committee due to the cost of living increases. On top of that, we want our children to be able to attend school because it would give them more opportunities to compete for jobs and being independent later on in their lives. Therefore, we would like to thank you all that have supported our establishment in past as well as in the future. Your supports not only help us with everyday expenses but it also encourages us to take in more orphans and give them a better life.

Once again, on behalf of the Buddhist nuns of Duc Son Orphanage Home and all of our children, we wish you and your family good health and prosperity. As a result of your kindness, the less unfortunate children at Duc Son orphanage home are able to have a home and a better future ahead of them.
